The whole place seems a little weird, there’s too much promotional material around Fratellis inflatable crowd balloons and Fratellis flags litter the crowd. Ahh very corporate and it makes me take a step back from the hysterical crowd.

The crowd are here to dance and The Fratellis provide the grooves and they are a great live band who know their tunes and even though the tent is packed everyone’s dancing to them. The tunes are varied and even the old folks were enjoying it, despite the album not even being released yet. It’s proper sixties rock warped up to date and I love it.

Of course the crowd want Chelsea Dagger at every song but the band hold out until the trademark bass kicks in and everyone yells along to their mega hit. These boys are destined for main stage next year and nothing’s gonna stop them, when they get there we’re all gonna have a party. Great pop to dance to! They have some decent songs too and have spiked them with some big hooks, looks like the album will be one of the debuts of the year.
