My first visit to the main stage and Dashboard Confessional aren’t doing anything that makes me want to stay here. The tunes are nice and pleasant and it’s our first view of the double barrier, ironic as in the band’s blurb in the programme it says that lead singer Chris Carrabba believes there are no boundaries between him and his audience.

I certainly want to keep my distance from this insipid American pretty boy, not surprisingly all the girlies in the crowd are enrapt. The best thing about the set was the singalong to Tenacious D’s ‘Tribute’ along with the video being shown on the big screens which happened moments before their set started. I decided I didn’t fancy listening to much more on the main stage based upon this and the earlier Fightstar.
