Reading Festival 2005 review

“Yer...but...no...but...yer... but do I look bovvered about Goldie Lookin’ Chain?”

For those who feel the whole comedy chav scene has been overcooked a tad, then yourcodenameis:milo offer a slightly more challenging introduction to the festival. Sadly, the PA in the Radio 1 tent is offering the band a similarly challenging experience, with amps spluttering to a halt before the band can even get going.

When they get started, it’s impressive enough – huge prog stomps such as singles ‘Rapt Dept’ and ‘All Roads To Fault’ are enough to blast away the early morning cobwebs, with the addition of a new supervixen vocalist giving the songs an effective unnerving edge. Where the dodgy sound threatened to win the day, yourcodenameis:milo ensure it remains a score draw.
