Reading Festival 2005 review

By Scott Williams | Published:

Finally a band not from America, all the rest had been USA bands this morning, but from London and looking slightly more like musicians less like image clothes horses. The programme said they sounded like electro-pop fortunately they were wrong. Well, unless having a synth in a band automatically qualifies you for this category.

The music wasn’t all that pop like either more indie and slightly off kilter if you ask me. The guitar work was proficient with some very skilled fretwork and it was head nodding stuff, although the crowd wasn’t that big and a larger crowd may spark the band to bigger things. I’d like to catch more but I have bands to see.
