Hoobastank, Rival Schools, A, Less Than Jake, No Doubt, Green Day

Yesterday's MOVE event seemed to cater for the oldies, whilst today was geared towards the younger generation. Almost immediately you could tell that the headliners for today's MOVE event was Green Day, due to the amount of young people that had died their hair green, as well as their poor manners. For some unknown reason these young Green Day fans think it acceptable to just barge into people and push them out of their way at full force. Tragically it is this type of behaviour that causes serious and sometimes fatal injuries to fans.

The audience became hyperactive when A arrived on stage - bottles, umbrellas, shoes, watches and jumpers were just some of the items that I saw being thrown towards them. Right at the front people were being hit by everything. The security stewards once again did a brilliant job trying to calm the overactives.

A

A are absolutely amazing live, if you haven't had the pleasure of seeing them live yet, make sure you catch them next time they tour.

Less Than Jake

Less Than Jake were fantastic to watch, they have a brilliant ability to create gigantic amounts of energy amongst the audience. Everyone in the audience was bouncing up and down to all of their tracks. Even if you don't like their music they are worth seeing just so that you can count how many spikes the lead singers hair has got.

Before No Doubt made their appearance, the sun decided to beam down on the audience. This was a stark contrast to the day before.

No Doubt

No Doubt's set included their two biggest hits 'Don't Speak' and 'Just a Girl'. Gwen Stefani looked stunning as she always does, her natural ability able to bring glamour to any event. Towards the end of their set, Gwen decided to climb to the top of the stage without a safety harness. The audience loved it. However the stage technicians looked extremely worried.

No Doubt

Whilst waiting for Green Day to arrive, the song 'Y.M.C.A' was played. This was such a funny sight seeing thousands of Green Day fans doing the actions to 'Y.M.C.A'.

Green Day

Finally Green Day arrived on stage to a mighty roar from the audience. Green Day were bouncing all over the stage and Billy Joe has still got that look which gives the impression he has just escaped from a mental asylum. Green Day belted out all the crowd pleasers including 'Basket Case', 'When I Come Around', and 'Minority'.

Today's MOVE event was certainly a success. There seemed to be a lot more people than there were for David Bowie. The weather was excellent, the music was brilliant. The only minor criticism is the behaviour of some of the fans that ruin it for other people, but then there is no way that the organisers can control that problem. So far the last two days have been absolutely brilliant.
