Leeds Festival 2003

OVERVIEW

By Luke Seagrave | Published:

This year's Leeds Festival moved to a new site at Bramham Park. There aren't major differences between the old and new sites, apart from here the stages seem to be further apart than before.

Every year, the organisers decide to put the first band on at midday, but they don't allow festie-goers in until midday, which means that you miss the first band usually; maybe if they let people in half an hour before the first band are due on, this would create a better atmosphere for the band that has to go on first.

The weather was fantastic, and the security team were really good too, apart from when they decided to impose a one way system to get from the Radio One tent, to the main stage.

This year the bill included some of the biggest acts around ranging from Blur, The Darkness, Beck, Linkin Park, and of course the mighty Metallica.

Food and drinks were expensive as per usual, although the food this year did taste like it had actually been properly cooked.

Putting Metallica on the first day at Leeds was a good idea, because it put everyone on a high for the rest of the weekend after seeing them play. So everyone was in good spirits throughout the entire event.

So was this years Leeds better than last years Leeds festival? Mmmm ... Hell yes!!!!! Bring on Leeds 2004.
