The Clun Green Man Festival is a traditional springtime festival, held over the first May Bank Holiday of the year on Sunday 1st and Monday 2nd May 2016. The Festival takes place in the town of Clun in South Shropshire. The programme is full of live music, drama, and medieval malarkey and fun for all the family.

Line-up

The programme includes live music, drama, colour and medieval malarkey, a Monday procession through the town, and the dramatic battle between the Green Man and The Frost Queen, the Spirit of Winter, fought out on Clun Bridge. The Green Man must win if they are to have a Summer in Clun!

The first acts are Over the Hillbillies, The Plantagenets, Jester Jack, Corner Exotics, and more.

Monday, assuming the the Green Man wins there will be Morris Dancing, strolling entertainers, jugglers, Sylvesta the Jester, magician, Battle re-enactments, live music, maypole dancing, circus workshop, garlands, face painting, duck racing, beer tent and refreshments.
