We can exclusively reveal The Waterboys will headline the first night of this summer's Wychwood Festival  which returns for its' 12th event to Cheltenham Racecourse, in Gloucestershire over the weekend of Friday 3rd until Sunday 5th June 2016.

Joining The Waterboys on the mainstage on Friday will be Idlewild, and Cbeebies Superstar Justin Fletcher aka Mr Tumble will appear and make the kids' weekend on Saturday, with Keston Cobblers Club added to the tsage's line-up on Sunday. Other acts confirmed today include Haelos, Black Honey, Tigercub, and Get Inuit on the Smashing Blouse Stage, and Thrill Collins on the Hobgoblin Stage, and Folk On join the Big Top bill.

The first acts confirmed are Sunday headliner Bill Bailey, plus Peter Hook and the Light, Kate Rusby, Matt Berry & The Maypoles, From The Jam, Craig Charles, Anteros, Ms Dynamite, Rag n Bone Man, Cash+David, Hunter and The Bear, and The Ooks of Hazzard.

The final headlining act is still under wraps. The Wychwood Music Festival boasts four music stages with over 100 bands, plus comedy, 100 workshops and events for all ages, kids literature festival, healing and sculpture gardens, The Headphone Disco until the wee hours, great food and real ales, and much more.

Taking to the taking to the comedy stage over the weekend will be Gary Delaney, George Rigden, Tim Goodings, Andrew O'Neill, Pun Man, and Tiernan Douieb, plus many more.

Authors and illustrators for the festival's own annual children's literary festival within the festival include Tamsyn Murray, Abi Elphinstone, Michelle Robinson, Tony de Saulles, John Dougherty, Jo Cotterill and Gemma Hastilow.

Wychwood offers fantastic fun for kids, and hosts a literary festival with authors and illustrators, kids' favourite characters, a multitude of making things, playing with stuff, learning, education, workshops, dance, and much more, and all free with no need to sign up, just drop in and join in the fun.

The early bird offer has ended. An adult weekend ticket is priced at just £135, a disabled (2 for 1 with carer) ticket is priced at £135, Youth/Concessions weekend tickets are priced at £110, a teen (aged 10-15 yr) full weekend ticket is priced at £65, children aged 5-9 years weekend tickets are priced at £25 and under 5 year olds go free with an adult.

An adult camping ticket is an additional £25, concession camping tickets are priced at £14 camping for children aged under 16 years is free, and a campervan ticket is priced at £65.
