The Daily Star, here, have announced that they think that Queen with Adam Lambert, and Faith No More will be headlining this summer's Sonisphere.

Two of the surviving members of Queen will take to the road this summer with lead singer Freddie Mercury's place taken by American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert. Original members Brian May and Roger Taylor last reformed Queen for an album and tour with Free singer Paul Rodgers in 2005. Original bass player John Deacon no longer plays with the band.

Adam Lambert tells the newspaper, "The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some f*****g great songs. It's to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of."

Sonisphere's UK home, Knebworth House, was where Queen played their final gig with Freddie on the 'A Kind Of Magic' tour in 1986.

The newspaper who have interviewed Adam Lambert predict the band will return to headline Sonisphere festival this summer, and that the line-up, will also include alt-metal veterans Faith No More. eFestivals believes that both these acts will indeed be announced for the festival, with Faith No More also headlining.

There are no acts officially confirmed yet for Sonisphere which is set to return for its fourth year at Knebworth House, Hertfordshire from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th July 2012 with three days of heavy rock and entertainment.

The two main Apollo and Saturn stages of Sonisphere are always timed to ensure there's no clashes, so no one need miss any of the acts scheduled over the weekend. There are no acts confirmed for the line-up which will also include an array of other late night entertainment, attractions and on-site events alongside the fairground rides, stalls, DJs, Discos and cinema.

The event has one main arena with a stage at either end of the site, as well as a few smaller stages. The two main outdoor stages, will have around a dozen acts alternating between one stage and another to keep the music continuous, whilst not having two acts playing at the same time.

Ticket prices for Sonisphere have not yet been announced, and a ticket on sale date is expected to be announced shortly.
