Shindig @ Evolution

Evolution 07, which takes place in NewcastleGateshead from Sunday 20th to Monday 28th May have announced that club night Shindig will be holding an outdoor dance event at Newcastle upon Tyne’s Baltic Square as part of its 15th birthday celebrations.

Two of the biggest names in dance music - Pete Tong and Deep Dish’s Dubfire - take to the stage on Sunday 27th May as part of NewcastleGateshead’s Evolution festival. With Shindig on the Bank Holiday Sunday, it creates a one-off opportunity to dance on the banks of the Tyne till the early hours. This dance event will be set against iconic architecture such as the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, The Sage Gateshead and Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art.

Evolution 07 starts on 20th May and culminates with Freevolution on Bank Holiday Monday 28th, a free, outdoor live music event, this year headlined by Maximo Park, with crowds of up to 50,000 expected to attend.
