This major folk arts festival in it's 42nd year features a professional programme of folk and roots music, ceilidhs, international dance teams, family entertainers, workshops and a Children's Festival which incorporates entertainment, music, puppetry, circus skills and crafts workshops.

Acts now confirmed are Blue Murder, Eliza Carthy & The Ratcatchers, Bellowhead, Martin Simpson, Shooglenifty, Jaipur Kawa Brass Band, Julie Fowlis, Roy Bailey, Whapweasel, Chris Wood, The Spooky Men’s Chorale, Kakatsitsi, Genticorum, Uiscedwr, The Old Swan Band, Tiger Moth, Len Graham, Pat Ryan, On English Ground featuring Morris Offspring and English Acoustic Collective, Mabon, Mawkin, Stömp, Lau, Random, Twm Twp, Jim May, Sara Grey & Kieron Means, The Dartmoor Pixie Band, Jo Freya, Maw’worms, Craig;Morgan;Robson, Jim Causley, Rory Motion, Bodega, Zoox, Ed Rennie & Jackie Oates, The Maerlock, Joe O’Connor, David Oliver, Kerry Fletcher, Andy Clarke, Ellie Skinner, David Ferrard, Black Adder Rapper and Step, Chiltern Hundreds Clog Morris, Dogrose Morris, Gog Magog Molly, Firestone, Black Fox, Towersey Morris Men, The Flying Buttresses, Magic Singh, Wynndebagge, and Will-o’-the-Wisp.

Concert venues at the festival include a Concert Tent in a corner of the main site, an Arts Centre Marquee, and an Open Stage also on the main site, as well as St Catherines Church and the village hall playing host to many well-known artists.

There will also be a pre-festival special with Chas and Dave performing at the Rockney Marquee - which will be decked out like a London pub. The performance is scheduled for Thursday 24th August at 7.30pm. Tickets for this event are £12 (£6 5-17yrs) until 14 August inc. and £15 (£7) from 15 August 2006. There are three festival camp sites in the village, costing around £14 for 5 nights for adults and £11 for 12-17 year olds with under 12s free.
The main site is on the playing field, the same field as the Concert, Dance and Children’s event stages. There are mains toilets, water, washing facilities and showers. Vehicle parking is not allowed. The principal camping use is for families and is a quieter area.
Site 2 is only a few hundred yards away and will accommodate cars and caravans etc. It has water, mains and re-circulating toilets and all night security. The sites are flat and suitable for disabled access.
There is an third site, particularly suited to revellers.
The camp sites are for season ticket holders only and will open at noon on Thursday 24th August and not before. Please do not arrive in Towersey before then.

There is a large FREE car park for day visitors, flat with access for the disabled although said to be a bit rough underfoot.
