Towerfest is an annual country music festival held in the grounds of Drax Power Station, in Yorkshire. Now in it's ninth year the event offers festival goers the chance to relive the wild wild west for three days from Friday 14th to Sunday 17th June 2018.
Three days of country music and line dancing with thirteen live acts plus DJ and Compere to keep it all in full swing. Camping and caravanning facilities available on site.
Thursday Night In The Clubhouse: Johnny Lynette, Calico
Friday Main Stage: Darren Night, Pedro, Darren Busby, Stonecold Country, The Diamondbacks, Boxcar Kelly Band.
Saturday Main Stage: Miki Peters, Chris Harris, Kerry Fearon, Badlands, James and Wood, Boomer McLenann
Sunday Main Stage: Tanya Turner, Trey Jackson, Roots and Wings, Jess & Ragged Company, Danne Lee Band, Gary Perkins and the Breeze
There will be music and dance tuition on the outdoor stage each day before acts perform.
A Full Weekend Pass is priced at £55, a 3-day ticket is priced at £50, a 2-day ticket (Fri+Sat or Sat+Sun) is priced at £38. A Thursday Night only ticket is priced at £5, with a day ticket for Friday, Saturday or Sunday only priced at £20. A camping/live-in vehicle pitch is £30.
The festival offers a chance to join their westerners in a competitive shootout, rifle shooting, knife throwing, horse shoe throwing and much more. With all the proceeds from their events going to a nominated charity.
Before the last act on the Sunday evening the westerners march into the arena in full military uniforms to perform a traditional commemoration to the American Civil War.
Many trade stands surround the arena with authentic western goods and trinkets. The site also has a fully licensed club.
Day visitors will be made welcome on the gate Saturday and Sunday but can save money by booking in advance.
