The Supersonic festival aims to be an eclectic and experimental playground where new and emergent talent exhibit their skills alongside established and world-renowned practitioners. Whilst the focus is on experimental music, Supersonic acts as an umbrella for creative practice in any media or art form.

Friday night acts as a precursor to the festival and is open from 9pm until 3am. Saturday is the festival itself. Open from 5pm until 4am, the line-up includes live sonic/visual performances on the Outside Stage plus performances in the dedicated Theatre space and in the Medicine Bar. Some of this year's line-up has now been announced.

There's also a film programme and exhibitions as well as record and food stalls, flea market, cake and a tequila bar.
