Supersonic Festival returns again from Friday 19th until Sunday 21st July 2019 at The Crossing + Boxxed + Wilde Building in Floodgate Street, Birmingham, plus two special concerts at the Town Hall, and the Symphony Hall (for the Kids Gig).
Acts include Neurosis; Godflesh; The Bug feat. Moor Mother; The Body; Hen Ogledd; Jerusalem In My Heart; Anna Von Hausswolff; Mono; Yob; Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs; and more.
For the details as available please see the line-up page.
Tickets are on sale, priced at £120 for the weekend (sold out). Day tickets are also available.
The event will as usual utilise the venue's many rooms for music, art and film.
Supersonic showcases 'experimental' music, and includes a 'kids gig' on the Saturday afternoon especially designed to bring big sounds to little people, along with workshops, talks, films, and ...erm .. cake (it says here).
Supersonic Festival 2019 shall also run in parallel with a major Home Of Metal exhibit - celebrating the forefathers of Metal - Black Sabbath. This immersive exhibition will feature portraits from the Home of Metal Black Sabbath fan archive, historical photos, ephemera, and memorabilia sourced directly from the band members, joining the dots between music, social history, visual art and fan cultures to produce a new perspective on Heavy Metal. One that is celebratory, eschews notions of high/low art and joins audiences and performers together.
More information will be here when available.
