The Supersonic festival aims to be an eclectic and experimental playground where new and emergent talent exhibit their skills alongside established and world-renowned practitioners. Whilst the focus is on experimental music, Supersonic acts as an umbrella for creative practice in any media or art form.

Friday night acts as a precursor to the festival itself. Open from 9pm until 3am, there'll be appearances from Surgeon, Paul Damage, Sir Real, and Harvey Lane in Room 1; DJ X, Shitmat (Planet Mu), PCM, and Chris Clark (Warp) in Room 2.

Saturday is the festival itself. Open from 5pm until 4am, the line-up includes live sonic/visual performances from: Psychic TV, Rother and Moebius, Dälek, Battles, Jesu, Aerogramme, and Esquilax on the Outside Stage as well as performances in the dedicated Theatre space and in the Medicine Bar.

There will also be a film programme and exhibitions as well as record and food stalls, flea market, cake and a tequila bar.
