Summer Sonic is an annual Japanese festival, now in it's 17th year taking place on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st August at the twin sites of Chiba Marine Stadium & Makuhari Messe, Tokyo and Maishima Sports Island, Osaka.

Tickets are priced at 29,500 yen for Tokyo, and 24,500 yen for Osaka.

The majority of the bands playing in Osaka the first day go to Chiba (Tokyo) the following day and vice versa. The line-up is a mix of international acts alongside local ones from both major and indie record companies.
