Summer Sonic is an annual Japanese festival, now in it's 16th year taking place on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th August at the twin sites of Chiba Marine Stadium & Makuhari Messe, Tokyo and Maishima Sports Island, Osaka.

Tickets are priced at 28,500 yen for Tokyo, and 23,500 yen for Osaka.

The majority of the bands playing in Osaka the first day go to Chiba (Tokyo) the following day and vice versa. The line-up is a mix of international acts alongside local ones from both major and indie record companies.
