Glastonbury Festival 2000

This
has been the third time at the festival for me, after a break of
five years, and this year we were taking a 4 year old and a one
year old. Although there were many lovely things to see, all were
in the green fields or kids fields, which to me made the rest of
the festival redundant. I didn't get to see any bands on the main
stages because of the kids but didn't feel there were any I wanted
too anyway! I would have liked to take part more, possibly when
the kids are older.
The bad point, which sadly overshadowed a lot of it, was the rubbish.
It was disgusting. For a green festival I can't believe how selfish
people were. Especially with kids, I couldn't find a single piece
of grass to sit them on all weekend. It was lovely till Friday.
I'm sure the organisers and volunteers did a wonderful job of cleaning
it up but they shouldn't have to. It was a real disappointment.
