You wanted some feedback on the festival, and as a Campsite Warden Supervisor, I thought I'd let you know about some of the festival I saw whilst on duty.

The most serious thing wasn't the walls coming down (recollections of Berlin, 1990), but all of the thefts and threats from certain sections of the population that only come to make a lot of money and cause as much damage as possible. By Saturday morning, we had a report that the security guards were collecting the thieves, seriously redesigning their faces and bodily parts, and dumping them on the Glastonbury Road (outside of the perimeter fence, where nobody would see them). Personally, having dealt with so many sad, unhappy faces that have lost wallets, mobiles and other belongings, I have no sympathy for these thieves.

Information for anybody who did lose personal items, the organisers will be spending the next three weeks taking enquiries and processing all of the LOST ITEMS that were handed in by honest festival goers. There is a phone number that people can contact them on the official web site.

But on the other side of the coin, I met so many happy, fun people who were there for a good time, without causing others any grief.

Here's to 2001- a space oddity.
