Glastonbury 1999 was my first, but theres no way on Gods earth that it will be the last. Start to finish simply awesome.

Highlights for me were first and foremost, the atmosphere. I heard about crimes and couldnt understand what kind of scum would go to the festival for these purposes. I was fortunate enough not to witness any of this however, in fact I was amased at the general attitude, it restored my faith in human nature.

I watched some incredible performances, Gomez, REM, Feeder, the list goes on and on. The one thing that really sticks out in the mind was on the friday night, when after a pause the first few chords of "Everybody hurts" came on coupled with the soft blue lighting. Words cannot describe the atmosphere at this point.

The whole summer of 1999 was absolutely magical for me, but asked for the single highlight I hesitate for about a hundreth of a second, before replying, June 23rd to 27th, the whole time I spent there and not just the three days of the festival itself. Roll on Glastonbury 2000.
