Berwyn Festival 2008 plans to showcase the best in music, art and food from the Berwyn Region. The festival is being held in the village of Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog, on the banks of the upper Ceiriog River, in the heart of the Berwyn foothills, just south of Wrexham in North Wales.

A musical line-up of acclaimed regional and international musicians headlines this two-day event, performing in concerts on Friday and Saturday evening. Artists confirmed so far include Herbert Spliffington Allstars, featuring Satch Dixon, and Blues Collective on Friday, Rachel Lloyd, JB Quintet, Rachel Lloyd, Terraplane Blues, Virginia Barret + Young Musicians on Saturday afternoon (at the food fair); Jez Lowe and the Bad pennies, with support from Cloudstreet and Lowri Evans, on Saturday; and a quartet for Sunday with more to be announced.

There's free entry to the regional cuisine Food Fair running on Saturday. Local farmers, manufacturers and restaurants will be represented, with many opportunities to taste and purchase the produce and products of the Berwyns - Ceiriog River trout, Berwyn honey, Welsh beef, hill-raised lamb, regional brewers, vintners and more.

There is also a village-wide Arts Fair with Berwyn artists and craft-workers exhibiting at a number of local venues.
