The organisers of Waterworks said: "We're so excited to announce all of this extra content for people to enjoy, after the year and a half everyone has had we think it's so important to have things to look forward to! We didn't announce the extra capacity straight away as we wanted to ensure it was possible to increase the size of the event without compromising the vision or experience for those that had already bought tickets, we're delighted to say that working closely and at length with the team at Gunnersbury Park we have ended with layout that will enhance our customers experience in every conceivable way.

"With the chaos that has been wreaked across the festival industry over the last 16 months the Waterworks team remain confident and upbeat: "We chose a date for the festival as late into the summer as possible with a view that the post lockdown status quo would be well set in by the time our event happened, we are also very lucky in that by supporting predominantly UK artists we aren't having the same international travel and quarantine issues that are being faced by other events."

Waterworks will be undertaking a thorough Covid entry policy that will require all guests to show proof of vaccination or a recent negative test. "We want our customers to be able to enjoy their experience safe in the knowledge that we have done everything we can to keep the virus out of the event."
