Fairport Convention, Eska, Yael Naim, C Duncan, Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra, and Is Tropical are the first acts announced for the music strand of HowTheLightGetsIn the annual philosophy and music festival, now in its seventh year, that is held at Hay-on-Wye in Powys, Wales from Thursday 26th to Sunday 5th June 2016.

A limited number of are available at early bird rates. For the first time you are now able to access the full programme with a single festival ticket.

There are no other acts confirmed yet expect over 650 events, 250 debates and talks, 400 bands and performances

Guests this year include David Chalmers, Peter Hacker, Susana Martinez-Conde, Joanna Kavenna, Natalie Bennett, Maajid Nawaz, Roger Scruton, Mary Ann Sieghart, Simon Baron-Cohen, Camila Batmanghelidjh, Anders Sandberg, Nancy Cartwright, Marcus du Sautoy, and Frank Wilczek.

Festival tickets are available for the first weekend, midweek, or second weekend, or a special discounted 3 in 1 festival ticket to cover the whole eleven days. The early bird prices are listed below

A complete 3 in 1 Festival ticket is priced at £178 and offers the festival goer access to the full programme of events throughout the whole eleven days of HowTheLightGetsIn ... that's over 650 events, 250 debates and talks, 400 bands and performances, along with the Banquets, Circus, Spa, Academy, and more.

HowTheLightGetsIn Bank Holiday Festival tickets are priced at £118 and give access to the full programme of events from Friday 27th May to Monday 30th May with a bonus of the Thurday night Trailblazer.

HowTheLightGetsIn Midweek Festival tickets are priced at £64 give access to four days and nights of events from 8pm on Monday 30th May to 8pm on Friday 2nd June

HowTheLightGetsIn Finale Festival tickets are priced at £78 and give access to the second weekend and three days of events Friday 3rd June to Sunday 5th June.
