HowTheLightGetsIn is an annual philosophy and music festival offering over 500 events in total, with around 180 speakers and 300 acts. The event, now in its 7th year, is held at Hay-on-Wye in Powys, Wales from Thursday 26th to Sunday 5th June 2016.

HowTheLightGetsIn, the world's largest philosophy and music festival, is back and this year's theme has not yet been announced. The music programme covers seven stages, with bands, singers and acoustic artists, along with comedy and film-screenings.

A complete 3 in 1 Festival ticket is priced at £188 (£218 with camping) and offers the festival goer access to the full programme of events throughout the whole eleven days of HowTheLightGetsIn ... that's over 700 events, 250 debates and talks, 400 bands and performances, along with the Banquets, Circus, Spa, Academy, and more.

HowTheLightGetsIn Bank Holiday Festival tickets are priced at £124 (£138 with camping) and give access to the full programme of events from Friday 27th May to Monday 30th May with a bonus of the Thurday night Trailblazer.

HowTheLightGetsIn Midweek Festival tickets are priced at £74 (£78 with camping) give access to four days and nights of events from 8pm on Monday 30th May to 8pm on Friday 2nd June

HowTheLightGetsIn Finale Festival tickets are priced at £78 (£88 with camping) and give access to the second weekend and three days of events Friday 3rd June to Sunday 5th June.

Camping

There is camping and parking available within a few hundred yards of the festival site, with on-site toilets, showers and security. Riverside Festival Accommodation nearby offers glamping options.
