Headliners Madness, and The Darkness lead the first acts for next year's 13th Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival with the 3 day event taking place from Thursday 4th to Saturday 6th August 2016 in the picturesque surroundings of Belladrum Estate, near Beauly in Inverness-shire, Scotland.
Promoter of 16,500 capacity event Joe Gibbs said, "What a party we’re going to have. It'll be 'Don’t let the Bella's end' when those consummate live entertainers The Darkness play on Thursday night and on Madness Saturday, the festival will become one big 'House of Fun'. This year is shaping up to be another 'I was there' moment for Bella fans."
In total music will come from around 90 acts across five stages featuring locally and internationally renowned artists and favouring a lo-fi approach. Belladrum offers plenty of interest aside from the music, including an array of entertainment for children, although the fairground rides will not be on site this year. Attractions include street theatre, cabaret, cinema, dance, alternative therapies, stalls, food and drink.
For the second year running, there will be an option to buy three day tickets to include a programme of artists on the main stage on the Thursday night, in addition to the traditional two day tickets.
Tickets are in the form of E-tickets and a limited number of hard tickets. Weekend tickets are priced at £112. Three day tickets are priced at £137. Campervan/caravan tickets are priced at £57 and electrical hook-up are priced at £87. (all plus booking fees). Children 12 and under attend free on all days.
A deposit scheme is available on standard weekend tickets, and upgrades from weekends to 3 days are also available.
Bella sold out in record time in January in 2015, and has sold out each of the last eight years, often months before the event so fans are urged to buy early to avoid disappointment.
The theme of the 2016 festival will be 'Superstition'.
