28 more acts have been confirmed for this summer's Sonisphere.

Bad Religion
Making a rare major outdoor UK festival appearance at Sonisphere will be Bad Religion, The Cavalera Conspiracy, and opening act on day two Sylosis are the latest additions to the Apollo Arena stage line-up.

Max Cavalera promises a show mixed with favourites both old and new at their only UK festival appearance this summer, "I'm fucking super excited to be part of the Sonisphere Festival in the UK with Cavalera Conspiracy. We have a new album out, Blunt Force Trauma, and me and Iggor are on fire. We are gonna play stuff from the first CD, Inflikted, new stuff, some Sepultura and Nailbomb classics, so it should be a storm of metal coming to Sonisphere UK. I can't wait!"

America's loudest lounge singer Richard Cheese and his band Lounge Against The Machine has been confirmed for the Saturn Arena stage, and another another eight acts have been confirmed for Bohemia - The Answer, Cancer Bats, My Passion, Paradise Lost, Glamour Of The Kill, Kylesa, Hayseed Dixie, and Pulled Apart By Horses.

There's also another six acts, Arcane Roots, Me Vs Hero, Rolo Tomassi, TesseracT, Title Fight, and Tek-One, announced for the Red Bull Bedroom Jam stage.

With Amplifier, Anterior, The Crave, Hounds, Demonic Resurrection, Jettblack, Orange Goblin, Fletcher, Saint Jude, and Virginmarys taking to the Jagermeister Stage.

The Big 4 - Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth & Anthrax headline Friday night, Biffy Clyro Saturday and Slipknot Sunday. Other acts confirmed are Bill Bailey, Limp Bizkit, The Sisters of Mercy, You Me At Six, Sum 41, House of Pain, All Time Low, Fozzy, The Mars Volta, Opeth, Killing Joke, F Kids in Glass Houses, Gallows, Diamond Head, Motorhead, Mastodon, In Flames, Parkway Drive, Volbeat, Gojira, InMe, Protest The Hero, Four Year Strong, The Black Dahlia Murder, Black Tide, Watain, Firewind, Rise To Remain, and more, with many more acts still to be confirmed. Sonisphere takes place at Knebworth House, Hertfordshire from Friday 8th until Sunday 11th July 2011.

The event has one main arena with a stage at either end of the site, as well as a few smaller stages. The two main outdoor stages, will have around a dozen acts alternating between one stage and another to keep the music continuous, whilst not having two acts playing at the same time.
