Devon rock trio Muse have announced two stadium shows for 2010 at London's Wembley Stadium and Manchester's Lancashire County Cricket Ground.

The trio of bassist Chris Wolstenholme, singer Matt Bellamy and drummer Dom Howard release their new single 'Undisclosed Desires on Monday, and were quoted recently talking of their live show and describing it as a stadium-worthy spectacle.

Wolstenholme is quoted as saying "We've got the biggest production we've ever gone out with. We've spent a lot of time and money putting the production together. It's our most ambitious stage show ever. It's on the edge of being too big for arenas. It would work really well in a stadium."

Heavily inspired by theatre, Wolstenholme also revealed that Muse's stage set includes three buildings that move up and down. "Sometimes we're on top of the buildings 12 or 13 feet in the air," the bassist explained of the production. "It looks pretty spectacular."

"The person we got in to design it has worked with acts like Take That and Mika but her background is in opera," Wolstenholme said. "When we finished 'Black Holes and Revelations' we were looking at a book by a guy who'd build opera sets. We said it would be nice not to go completely down that road, because we still want it to be a rock show and you don't want it to feel too contrived or limited, but it would be nice to incorporate some of the ideas that go into opera and theatre and somehow mould the two together."

Matt Bellamy and company's latest album 'The Resistance' reached the No.1 spot in 21 countries around the world and the band are currently touring the UK's Arenas. All 85,000 tickets for their current tour sold out in under half an hour. Muse last played the Wembley Stadium when it was newly built back in 2007.

The two confirmed dates are as follows:
Saturday 4th September Lancashire Country Cricket Ground, Manchester
Saturday 11th September Wembley Stadium,London

The support acts for the two shows have not yet been announced.

Tickets will go on sale at 9am next Friday, 20th November priced at £45 & £65 for London and £45 for Manchester, and we'll have links for you to buy them when they go on sale.
