Held in Derbyshire, the Y-Not Festival started in 2006 with over 30 bands and DJs. This three day festival steers away from sponsorship and high prices. In 2013 the festival for 8,000 runs from Friday 2nd until Sunday 4th August over two stages at a site on Mouldridge Lane, near Matlock, Derbyshire.
The festival attempts to have an intimate nature, with many of the bands camping with festival goers, and friendly stewards. Late night entertainment includes a dance tent, or camp fire singalongs and there will be real ales and local ciders available.
The latest additions are Nizlopi, By The Rivers, Thrill Collins, and Jasper In The Company Of Others.
On Friday The Horrors, headline supported by the Mystery Jets, on Saturday, it's The Cribs, supported by Ash and on Sunday, it's The Darkness, supported by The Enemy. They top a line-up that includes The 1975, Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip, Dry the River, Electric Six, Kids in Glass Houses, The Joy Formidable, 65daysofstatic, Dutch Uncles, We Are The Ocean, Three Trapped Tigers, Lewis Watson, We Were Promised Jetpacks, Toy, Stealing Sheep,Deaf Havana, InMe, Chapel Club, Temples, The Temperance Movement, Night Works, Maybeshewill, Chloe Howl, The Computers, Wet Nuns, Johnny Foreigner, and Max Raptor, expect around 80 acts in total, there are a few additions still to be added to the three main stages.
