Organised by the same people who also hold Truck festival, this newer festival celebrating music and nature happens in the surroundings of Braziers Park, Oxfordshire from Friday 21st until Sunday 23rd May 2010.

Line-up

The acts confirmed are headliners Frank Turner, Tunng, and Fionn Regan, with Martin Simpson, Danny And The Champions Of The World, The Candyskins, Cate Le Bon, Neil Halstead, 9 bach, The Minnikins, Frontier Ruckus, Ora Cogan, Trevor Moss and Hannah-Lou, Dusty And The Dreaming Spires, and many more on 2 stages. Tickets

Weekend tickets are priced at £70 for adults which includes camping and all workshops. There is also a junior ticket for ages 13-17 priced priced £50, children aged 12 and under will be able to go along for free! There are also day tickets available 50 tickets for each day to keep things nice and intimate - it's £25 for Friday night and then £30 for Saturday and £30 for Sunday. Campervan tickets have sold out.

SuperTrucker Tickets are also on sale, and as last year, kids go free (under 14 accompanied by an adult). An adult weekend ticket to both this and the larger Truck Festival is priced at £120 and Junior (for those aged 13 - 17 years) tickets are priced at £95. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult, max 2 per adult, and still need tickets.

Ethos

Wood runs entirely on renewable energy and aims to highlight green issues and hopefully promote an ecologically friendly lifestyle, with things like composting toilets, showers heated by wood-burning stove, a people powered fairground, and a solar-powered stage and dancing into the night in a bicycle powered 'discotheque'.

workshops

The festival offers opportunities for everyone (from children to grandparents!) to participate, with workshops covering everything from singing, woodcraft, yoga, knitting, story-telling, and thatching, to making wallets from orange juice cartons, campfire sing-alongs, a kids tent and fancy dress parade.

Saturday's workshops from 11am include Urban Organic Gardening, How to Make a Wormery for Under £10, Myella: Upcycled Bags & Keyrings, Make a Bird Box, Feltmaking, Jewellery Making, African Dance, Harmony Singing, Balloonaphone: Make an Instument from Junk, In Tune with Nature: Nature Inspired Poetry, Monoprinting, Folk Scratch Band, Photography: Get Your Camera off Auto, Cycle Repair, Tai Chi & Chi Gung, Make an OJ Carton Wallet, Chakras, Working with Nature Spirits making and using rattles with natural materials, Home Composting, Thatching-Kit, University of the Trees, Building Wooden Surfboards, How Hedgehogs can Save the World, and Fair Trade.

Sunday's workshops include How to Make a Wormery for Under £10, Home Composting, Make a Hedgehog Hut, Myella:Upcycled Bags & Keyrings, Feltmaking, Drama, Harmony Singing, African Drumming, Folk Scratch Band, Monoprinting, Circle Dancing, Cycle Repair, Tai Chi & Chi Gung, Maypole Dancing, Photography: Get Your Camera off Auto, Storytelling, Thatching, Junk Samba Session, University of the Trees, Woodland Walk (Sylva Foundation), Building Wooden Surfboards, Sustainable Urban Communities: The City Block, Sustainable Energy Lifestyles.

Kids Tent activities run both days and include Breakfast Club: Painting on Wood, Energizers, Sunflowers Singing, The Art Room, Drama Games, Picnic, Creative Art for Kids, Giant Knitting & Weaving Jewellery, Cute Mutants: Sewing for Kids, Musical Munchkins, Facepainting, and ther will be a Children's Parade with Bop Samba.

Wood even has its own organic café serving locally-sourced food and it's own pub, The Hippy Arms selling locally-produced lager, ale and cider.
