Bringing together many forms of music, arts, and dance from countries and cultures around the world, on six separate music stages and many workshop areas, WOMAD returns to the picturesque site at Charlton Park, near Malmesbury in Wiltshire from Thursday 25th to Sunday 28th July 2024.
WOMAD stands for World of Music, Arts and Dance. However, it goes beyond that, offering various workshops, culinary experiences, poetry, science, and a raft of cultural experiences and enlightenment or just can't experience anywhere else.
Line-up
Confirmed are reggae sensation Alborosie who will kick off the festival on Thursday night.
Artists announced so far also include Young Fathers, Sampa The Great, Zamrock, Alison Goldfrapp, Amadou and Mariam, Baaba Maal, Gogol Bordello, DAM, The 79rs Gang, Deerhoof, Bala Desejo, iLe, Yungchen Lhamo, John Metcalfe, The Breath, The Zawose Queens, Anuradha Pal & forces with the Kedia Bandhu brothers, Qawwali Flamenco, DJ Paulette, Sid Sriram, “41323142” (Tarta Relena, Cocanha and Los Sara Fontan), and many others.
Anothger exciting announcement is that Ghana Special will be performing including an all-star line-up of Pat Thomas, Kwashibu Area Band, Charles Amoah and KOG.

3 days: £210 (teenage £100)
4 days: £260 (teeage: £140)
Children 13 and under are free.
Global village
WOMAD offers festie fodder from around the globe and a Real Ale Bar, a Cider Bar, and the 'Taste the World' tent where some of the artists will show off their cooking, and usually stage an impromptu gig.
Workshops
Music Workshops for adults, will include participatory sessions with WOMAD artists. Festival goers will be able to immerse themselves in the stories behind the music, learn the origins of rare and unusual instruments, and more.
Children
The festival is aimed at the whole family, and allows all children aged 13 years and under, in for free. 'The World of Children' will have the usual comprehensive programme of workshops, entertainment and activities, open from 9am-7pm with almost all activities free. They are held throughout the weekend culminating in the Children's Parade which starts from the Children's area traditionally at 6pm on the Sunday and winds its way through the main arena.

There are now two Live In Vehicle ticket types available.
Live In Vehicle tickets allows entry to ONE sleep-in vehicle and does not include electrical hook up.
Electrical Hookup Live In Vehicle tickets allows entry to ONE sleep-in vehicle, and includes electrical hookup. Please note if you would like power, you will need to purchase this ticket.
More Info
Please note barbecues or fires are not permitted in any of the campsites.
Traders and bars at WOMAD 2024 will be accepting cards as the main method payment. However, we there are ATMs on site, and we recommend bringing some cash with you on to site in case you need it.
No animals are allowed on site with the only exception of registered assistance dogs.
