The seventh Wirral Folk on the Coast Festival takes place this year, over 4 days, from Thursday 23rd to Sunday 26th June at the OC Sports and Leisure Club site in Bridle Rd, Bromborough, Wirral

There are seven concerts taking place in the main concert hall - Knockaloe Suite (Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and evening, Sunday afternoon and evening) and a free concert will also take place in the upstairs lecture room on Saturday evening.

Saturday 7pm: The Celtic Notes, Hughie Jones, Flossie Malavialle, The Lonnie Donegan Band with Peter Donegan.
Saturday 11-15pm: Late Night Bop - ‘Beatlemania’ with The Jeps
Sunday 1pm: Kimbers Men, Gareth Davies-Jones, The Hut People, Les Barker, Anthony John Clarke.
Sunday 7-15pm: Schools song-competition winner, Fake Thackray, Jamie Landsborough, Martyn Wyndham-Read, Singer/songwriter competition winner, Tom Topping Band

Other events

Wirhal Skip Felag (the Wirral Viking Society) will be demonstrating various Viking crafts throughout the weekend and on Saturday and Sunday afternoons will be presenting Viking Battle re-enactments.

Plus mini-concerts, Chances to Meet (artists), a Schools Song Competition, Water colour painting demonstrations, Storytelling, Poetry, Belly Dancing, Jewellery making, Guitar, Drumming and Morris Dance workshops, Complementary therapies, Ceilidh dances, Dance displays, Rolling Folk Club sessions, Singers and Musicians sessions, and Festival market place.

Tickets

All options do not include camping. An adult full weekend ticket (if purchased before Before 1st April 2011) is priced at £55 (full price £50) (No concessions).

A child (5 to 17yrs) weekend ticket is priced at £35 (full price £40). Children under 5 can attend for free.

Day tickets are priced at £30 for either day, and main stage only concert tickets are priced at £16.

On site

Festival goers will also be able to enjoy 4 Ceilidhs, dance displays and workshops, a craft fair, free concerts, instrument workshops, 'Chance To Meet', rolling folk club sessions, story-telling, and large fringe activities. The O.C Sports and Leisure Club site has a campsite, showers, toilets, food available all day, and a bar and restaurant with real ale available on the 9 acre site.

Camping

The campsite has toilets, and showers. Weekend camping is priced per person and will be priced around £10 for adults, £5 for children 5 to 17yrs and under 13s can camp for free.
