About

The festival stems from a series of concerts held at the farm to raise funds for local projects such as the village Cricket Club, Church and Preschool. Now the aim is to develop those concerts into a weekend festival held in a purpose built big-top concert marquee and for the first time this year there will be the opportunity to pitch up and stay at the festival campsite.

During the year Cannon Hall Open Farm offers visitors an educational insight into the day to day workings of a modern farmyard. Activities include, milking demonstrations, a rare breeds barn, small-animal petting, animal feeding, tractors, farm machinery as well as a new adventure playground, decent facilities, farm shop and delicatessen.

Charity

Underneath the Stars’ official charity partner is Yorkshire Cancer Research, the largest independent regional cancer charity in England. It supports vital projects across Yorkshire helping people avoid, survive and cope with cancer.
