The Szeged Open-Air Festival is Hungary's largest 'open-air theatre' event. The festival started in 1931, restarting after a 20 year gap in 1959, and is held annually over two summer months and offers a programme of dance, opera and concert performances on a specially set-up mobile auditorium in front of the cathedral of the University town of Szeged.
The event has become a host of small concerts, and more arts based events, and so eFestivals no longer lists it as a festival.
