The first Stroud Folk Festival takes place on Saturday 21st September 2013 at Stroud Subscription Rooms, in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

Line-up

The full line-up joining patron Johnny Coppin is John Spiers & Jon Boden, Johnny Coppin, Martha Tilston & The Scientists, Greg Russell & Ciaran Algar, O'Hooley & Tidow. The Young 'Uns, Phillip Henry & Hannah Martin, and Stroud Folk Festival 5 Valleys Folk Award Final winners The Black Feathers.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.

The festival atmosphere will build over the weekend, starting on Friday night in local bars and cafes with folk club sessions and live music, Morris Sides on the forecourt, dance workshops around town, talks, ceilidhs and more.

Patron Johnny Coppin said "I am delighted and honoured to be Patron of this new festival in the town. As a performer and a local, I'm excited by the prospect of so much great folk music and dance taking place in Stroud. There is always a real buzz around festival towns and I'm sure the new Folk Festival will add to the already rich festival calendar in Stroud.".
