Formerly known as Woodworks, and now in it's 11th year, this festival aims to encourage the participation and enjoyment of folk arts, drawing on assistance from the local community. Along with a UK-wide network of musicians, dancers, tutors and enthusiasts, opportunities are provided for people of all ages to come together to learn, listen, network, and enjoy live music.

Line-up

The line-up includes The Blockheads, Chris Difford, Sheelanagig, The Pins, The Floe, Zalinski, Cardinal Jack, Future Of The Left, Bicycle Thieves, The Last Republic, Ezio, Boo Hewerdine, and more. For the line-up details as available please click here.

Expect over 70 acts on 4 stages with bands, theatre companies, and other performance art groups appearing in an Arts Marquee, a couple of acoustic showcase sessions, and a comedy tent.

Workshops

A variety of workshops are usually on offer. There's also street performance, a festival market, hot and cold food, stand-up comedy, live sessions popping up everywhere, a chill-out tent, artistic displays (including sculptures), craft and music stalls, plus children's activities at different venues around the town.

Tickets are on sale priced as follows:
Family Ticket For The Weekend (2 Adults and 2 children aged over 10) £60.
Adult Weekend Ticket (Under 9's FREE with Adult) £20.
Youth Weekend Ticket (10 to 17 with Adult) £15.
Adult Day Ticket (Under 9's FREE with Adult) £15.
Youth Day Ticket (10 to 17 with Adult) £10.
