Showcasing international performers of the folk scene, and local performers, with folk dances playing a big part over the weekend, there's plenty of opportunity to get involved in the workshops, ceilidhs, open mic stages and children's events.

Southwell's third folk festival will coincide with the annual Gate to Southwell procession of Morris dancers to Southwell Minster from Nottingham city centre. Events are taking place at the workhouse from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th June.

The line-up will include performers from the International folk scene; The line-up includes Eliza Carthy, Show Of Hands, Eddie Walker, Kevin Brown, Jim Widdop, Martin Simpson Trio, Lau, Michael McGoldrick, Maire Ni Chathasaigh & Chris Newman, Flossie Malavialle, and Jackie Oates. Plus the new supergroup Moonlighting featuring: Michael McGoldrick, Ciaran Tourish, Dermot Byrne (Altan), John Joe Kelly (Flook), and John Doyle (ex Solas).
