South Devon Festival - CANCELLED 2011

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
South Devon Festival has been cancelled. A statement says:

It is with much sadness and regret that I have to inform you that the decision has been made to cancel the festival for 2011. This has been a very difficult call to make, and certainly hasn't been a snap decision. The simple fact is, advance tickets sales have been extremely poor and down 90% for the same period on previous years, this, coupled with rising operating costs has just made the event unfeasible.

My sincere apologies go to all of the people who have bought tickets. You will receive a full refund.

My apologies also, to the fantastic bands who agreed to play for us.

Now in it's 2nd year, the festival has moved to a more intimate location and is offering a more relaxed atmosphere next to Fermoys, in Ipplepen, Devon over three days from Friday 1st until Sunday 3rd July 2011 from noon until 11pm on each day.

Line-up

Headliners are Mercury (Queen Tribute) on Friday, Delays on Saturday, and The Wurzels on Sunday. Also confirmed are Sumudu, 3BF, Decline & Fall, Bohemian Embassy, Audio Focus, Thinking For Tuesday, Electric River, Iconyx, Adam Barnes, Jenna Witts, Et Tu Bruce, Bound For Nowhere, Soft Toy Heroes, and Nicole Wakeling.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at £25 for weekend ticket, under 14's can attend for free. Day tickets are available priced at £10.

On site

Both days will start off relaxed with acoustic sets giving festival goers the chance to sample the real ales, food, and craft and holistic tents that will be on offer as well as time to chill before the music volume pumps up from 4pm.

Accommodation

There are two campsites within walking distance of the festival site. Festival goers will need to contact them directly to arrange accommodation.
