La Route Du Rock is held in St. Malo, Brittany in France. The festival runs from Wednesday the 15th to Friday the 17th of August.

The event lasts three days, had twenty five thousand festival goers in 2006, and promises 30 bands and musicians on three stages.

The festival has hosted a number of major acts over the last 15 years including Suede, Placebo, Muse, Blur, Franz Ferdinand, and The Cure.

Acts confirmed for the Wednesday so far are Justice, The Go! Team, The National, Elvis Perkins, Herman Düne, Art Brut, Robert Gomez, Woven Hand, Thee, Stranded Horse, and Anna Ternheim.

Performing on the Thursday are The Smashing Pumpkins, CSS, 120 Days, Fujiya & Miyagi, New Young Pony Club, The Besnard Lakes, Windmill, Patrick Watson, Sébastien Schuller, and Inrocks Steady Crew.

Acts on the final day are as follows, Sonic Youth performing Daydream Nation, LCD Soundsystem, Albert Hammond Junior, Electrelane, Voxtrot, Turzi, Final Fantasy, Ensemble, Lucky Pierre, and The Gentleman Losers.
