A statement from organisers said, "It is after much consideration and with deep regret that we have had to cancel LewesLive 2016.
Unfortunately, due to the adverse weather conditions over the past few weeks, the site is still under water and not draining quickly enough. This means we are unable to get the infrastructure in place in time for this weekend. We have tried to source an alternative site but our attempts have been unsuccessful.
We can only apologise for any inconvenience this will cause to your plans this weekend. This was probably our best line up ever and would love to be able to bring you the bands at a future date. We hope to put on a smaller event later in the Summer and when confirmed will be obviously notify you.
We will be refunding ALL ticket sales including any booking fees, details as follows:
Ticketsource: If you purchased online a full refund will be refunded to your account automatically.
Union Music Store (UMS): Please return your ticket to UMS and a full refund will be issued. If you paid by Credit/Debit Card please take the payment card (and receipt if possible) as the refund will need to be issued to the same card.
The Dorset, The Gardeners & Martin’s, The Newsagents: Refunds for these tickets will be available in person – dates, times and venues to be confirmed and posted here and on social media as soon as possible.
The organising committee appreciate your understanding. We are completely gutted that it has come to this and hope to bring you a bigger, better and drier LewesLive 2017.
The LewesLive Team."
