A statement on the festival's website states:
"We can confirm there was a mental health incident last night (22nd May 2018) involving the organiser of the Mfor Festival which occurred unexpectedly and without malice.
Any questions regarding ticket refunds or other business matters cannot be dealt with until the organising company Synister Music Events is able to operate and re-visit the situation with professional support.
As a result the Mfor Festival is, sadly cancelled. The organiser is unwell and we are unable to give a timeline for his recovery. We urge everyone to consider the impact of PTSD on individuals and the mental health issues which arise from it.
Please direct any queries to firstname.lastname@example.org "
