The Tin Pan Alley Festival is a street party turned festival, held in London's famous Denmark Street, known for its history of housing new aspiring acts, recording studios, specialist record shops and as a place that gave birth to a plenthora of musical talent.

The festival is completely free. Over 6000 people turned up for the 2005 event and the festival has showcased bands like The Subways, Art Brut, The Others, Do Me Bad Things, and Mick Jones (formerly of The Clash) in the past.

This years festival has confirmed Bromheads Jacket, Vincent Vincent and the Villains, F.O. Machete, Keith, The Holloways, Kalev, Louie, Untitled Musical Project, and The Violets.

Tin Pan Alley hopes to raise awareness for Shelter, a charity to help the homeless. This is a particularly prevalent problem in Central London and is very close to the festivals heart.

The event lasts from 11am until 9pm on Sunday 16th July.
