Co-ordinated by East Dorset District Council in partnership with others, Sound Festival will have a second outdoor stage, an acoustic tent and DJing tent which will be programmed with live youth bands and musicians. The rest of the Festival will be full of wonderful arts activities, street performers, workshops, market stalls, food outlets and much more.

Confirmed for the main stage are Capdown, Street Light Fortune, The Accolade, Multicoloured Green, Afro Snatchers, Sunstar, Capital Girls and Capital Pearls, Roads, Re-instated, and Indigogoes.

Claire Toomey will headline the Acoustic Tent. She will be joined by Nick Tatham & Humphrey Knight, William McNicol and Tom Francis, Lucy Davis, Ali Bangay, Kyoto, Secret Ingredient, Jon Sterckx & Ricky Romain, Zac Harris, Spilt Milk, Rachel Boucher, The Longest Day, and Katharine Levi.

The Second Stage is headlined by Ten to Never, who are joined by The Longest day, Skyline, Silversweet, Alphafa, Underccurent, Phoebus, Prohibition, The Three Minute Heroes, and The Reckoning.

Also over the day are junk-band Weapons Of Sound (always excellent!), graffiti workshops and demonstrations, have-a-go circus (juggling, poi spinning, devilsticks, diabolos and more), karaoke, dance performances, a kidz field for the under-8s, and more.

There'll be more information here when available.
