The 6th annual Music and Arts festival, Optimus Alive!13, takes place in Lisbon, the capital of sunny Portugal, between Friday 12th and Sunday 14th of July, with bands starting at 5pm each day.
Latest additions are 2manydjs (DJ Set), Wild Belle, Rhye, DIIV, Linda Martini, Brass Wires Orchestra, The Legendary Tigerman, Matias Aguayo Live feat. Alejandro Paz, Flume, Dezperados, Metro Area, How To Dress Well, Yen Sung, Switchst(d)ance, Time for T, Brodinski and Gesaffelstein, Alex Metric, Daniel Avery, White Haus Live Band, Blaya, Zé Pedro Moura, Mad Called Honey, and Max Drum.
They join Depeche Mode, Kings Of Leon, Two Door Cinema Club, Green Day, Alt-J, Band of Horses, Soulwax, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, The Bloody Beetroots, Biffy Clyro, Tame Impala, Twin Shadow, Of Monsters and Men, Phoenix, Capitao Fausto, Death From Above 1979, Django Django, Crystal Castles, Japandroids, Editors, Crystal Fighters, Jurassic 5, Vampire Weekend, Tribes, Jamie Lidell, Jessie Ware, Disclosure, AlunaGeorge, Gold Panda, Redlight, Dusky, Huxley, Shadow Child, Mosca, Two Inch Punch, Dead Combo, Stereophonics, Steve Aoki, Jamie N Commons, and Deap Vally.
Tickets are priced at £103 for a weekend pass with camping, or £89.30 without camping, and day tickets are priced at £45. To buy tickets, click here. Tickets sold out last year.
With the Tagus River as landscape to explore the festival has arts, cafes, restaurants, as well as music on offer.
There is camping available (must be purchased with ticket), and also plenty of other accommodation options in the city and festival goers are recommended to book accommodation in Lisbon early.
