Welcoming around 80,000 music fans each year, North Sea Jazz Festival, the world's largest indoor festival, has been running in The Netherlands since 1976. It returns in 2024 to Ahoy in Rotterdam,  from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th July 2018.

This summer the festival expects more than a thousand musicians, spread out over 150 performances and fifteen different stages.

Less than an hour's plane-ride away, a direct train from London St Pancras or ferry ride, the North Sea Jazz Festival is easily accessible from the UK and perfectly suited for a weekend retreat.

Amongst the artists announced  are the legendary Sting, jazz-fusiuon royalty Al Di Meola, record breaking Brit Award winner Raye (picture by Callum Walker Hutchinson), GRAMMY-winner Corinne Bailey Rae, Jamaican-American singer and saxophonist Masego, Mercury Prize winner Sampha, boundary-pushing American rapper and poet Noname, Alabama Shakes vocalist Brittany Howard, Jazmine Sullivan performing live in Europe for the first time, Joss Stone, Cory Henry, Arooj Aftab, Charles Lloyd, Terence Blanchard and many more.

Grammy-winning Meshell Ndegeocello has been announced as this year's Artist in Residence and will perform a different project each night of the festival.

The festival has also confirmed an array of some of the world's most celebrated jazz artists including Joshua Redman, Jamie Cullum, American saxophonist and composer Walter Smith III, bassist Avishai Cohen, French-Lebanese trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf and a new quartet featuring tenor saxophonist Chris Potter, pianist Brad Mehldau, bassist John Patitucci and drummer Johnathan Blake.
