How would you and a friend like to be guest listed at Long Division Festival which returns for a third year, taking place at multiple venues across the city of Wakefield, West Yorkshire from Friday 7th until Sunday 9th June 2013.

We've teamed up with JD Roots who return to Wakefield for Long Division Festival to D Roots is host the stage Upstairs at The Hop, following last year's incredible 10th Birthday JD Roots show featuring The Cribs. At The Hop from midday to the end of the night, the JD Roots stage will be upstairs with a line-up of local highlights, Northern thrill seekers, the odd guest from further afield, and a healthy dose of emerging bands likely to be making headlines by the year's end. As with their May and June venue shows this year, taking Maximo Park back to Newcastle, and Miles Kane home to Liverpool; JD Roots will be getting involved with the local music scenes that produce the legends of tomorrow and the moments of today.

In total more than 70 acts will be unveiled for Saturday for gigs taking place across 9 venues including 2 stages at The Hop, Wakefield Theatre Royal, Mustangs, The Orangery and Velvet Cocktail Bar.

Tickets are exchanged for wristbands at the start of the day, allowing free access to all participating venues over the course of the event.

The Fall will headline on Saturday with Ghostpoet, Howard Marks, Nine Black Alps, RM Hubbert, Ed Tudor Pole, Skint & Demoralised, Dead Sons, Post War Glamour Girls, The Spills, Jonnythefirth, The Michael Ainsley Band, Matadors, The Sunbeams, Allo Darlin' with Jeffrey Lewis & Peter Stampfel, The History Of Apple Pie, This Many Boyfriends, Sky Larkin, That Fucking Tank, Blacklisters, This Is The Kit, Kid Canaveral, Humanfly, Runaround Kids, Too Many T's, Middleman, Olympic Swimmers, Mark Wynn, New Vinyl, O Messy Life, Harry George Johns, Imp,and many more.

  3. Closing date for receipt of entries is 9am, Wednesday 6th June 2013. The winners names, and the results, will be announced on this webpage soon after.

  5. Each competition entrant will (if not already) be subscribed to the Festivals Newsletter.
  6. The winners will be asked to provide a mobile contact number.
  7. The winning entries are selected at random from all correct entries.
  8. The judges decision is final.
  9. The winner must redeem the prize.
  10. The prize is not redeemable for cash or resale.
  11. If the original winner cannot be contacted following reasonable efforts, is unable to verify their age or if the original winner is not available to take the prize, an alternative winner will be selected.
  12. The prize winner and their accompanying guest will need to take photographic ID to the gig proving that both winner and guest are aged 18 years or over.
  13. Entry will only be permitted to valid ticket holders. The Promoter reserves the right to deny entry to the gigs at their own discretion. Entry will not be permitted: to those under the legal drinking age, any intoxicated persons, or for any other reason that causes the Promoter concern and / or it deems detrimental to the enjoyment of others on the night. Any lost baggage or personal injury caused at any JD Roots gig is not the responsibility of the Promoter.
  14. The prize is non transferable and there is no cash alternative. The Promoter reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value, should those advertised become unavailable for any reason prior to the commencement of this promotion. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend this promotion in the event of any unforeseen circumstances outside its reasonable control with no liability to any entrants, the prizewinner or any third party.
  15. Winner and guest will be bound by the terms imposed by any third parties providing services as part of the prize. Promoter cannot accept responsibility for the acts or omissions of third parties.
  16. By entering the promotion, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules.
