Returning for a third year the Long Division Festival takes place at multiple venues across the city of Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Taking place from Friday 7th until Sunday 9th June 2013 with more venues, more bands and alot of surprises up its sleeve.

The Fall will headline on Saturday with Ghostpoet, Howard Marks, Nine Black Alps, RM Hubbert, Ed Tudor Pole, Skint & Demoralised, Dead Sons, Post War Glamour Girls, The Spills, Jonnythefirth, The Michael Ainsley Band, Matadors, The Sunbeams, Allo Darlin' with Jeffrey Lewis & Peter Stampfel, The History Of Apple Pie, This Many Boyfriends, Sky Larkin, That Fucking Tank, Blacklisters, This Is The Kit, Kid Canaveral, Humanfly, Runaround Kids, Too Many T's, Middleman, Olympic Swimmers, Mark Wynn, New Vinyl, O Messy Life, Harry George Johns, Imp,and many more.

In total more than 70 acts will be unveiled for Saturday for gigs taking place across 9 venues including 2 stages at The Hop, Wakefield Theatre Royal, Wakefield Town Hall, a grade 2 listed Chapel, an Orangery and the thousand capacity Black Flag venue.

Tickets

For the last two years the event has completely sold out. Tickets are priced at £20. To buy tickets, click here.

Tickets are exchanged for wristbands at the start of the day, allowing free access to all participating venues over the course of the event.

The festival fringe

DJ Andy Kershaw and Simon Armitage will headline the festival fringe which takes place on Sunday offering a day of alternative entertainment with talks, spoken word and alternative performances. There will also be free events throughout the festival. After performing on the Saturday singer and comic book artist Jeffrey Lewis will be talking us through his sketchbooks while Guardian journalist Dave Simpson will read from his books The Fallen and The Last Champions. Other events on the Sunday include a pop up cinema, family events at The Hepworth, the Ossett Ukulele Philharmonic, a Unity Hall tour and sessions discussing the future of Wakefield music and independent record shops.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
