These twice-yearly celtic/roots/world music festivals have been running in the hills of Scotland's Southern Uplands since 1998, and this one is centred around the Autumn Equinox.

Throughout the day and through to the night, the central Bo Airie stage hosts a wide range of performances, including high profile, internationally recognised artists alongside emerging and local performers. The second smaller, Shieling World stage is home to music and dance in a more intimate setting, doubling up at night after the main stage has closed into a enclosed dance space.

Acts confirmed for the festival so far are Herbaliser, The Foreign Beggers, Altan, Nizlopi, Aberfeldy, Baka Beyond, Dhoad Gypsies, Sheelanigig, Shona Kipling and Damien O’Kane, Ixindamix, Bombskare, Sonveneno, Virgnia McNaughton, Big Hand, Rise Kagona & Champion Doug Veitch, and Mungo’s Hi Fi Sound System. There are still more acts to be confirmed.

The festival also offers open mic sessions, an acoustic village, storytelling, street theatre, and fire spectaculars. Tai-chi and other workshops are free to weekend ticket holders, and there's also a solar-powered cinema, children's marquee and procession, puppet shows, global shopping, food, real Scottish ales, plus on-site camping.

Advance ticket holders will be able to camp on the festival grounds on Thursday. However you will not be able to camp in the central festival area until Friday morning. Gates will be open to advance ticket holders from 4pm to 10pm Thursday 13th September. Gates will be open to all at 10am on Friday 14th September.

TICKETS
Tickets cost £60 (£55 con) if bought in advance and on the gate they will be £62 (57 con).

There is an extra £10 charge for vehicles. Day tickets are available. Kids under 11 get in FREE.
