Fancy dress theme

Kendal Calling's 10th anniversary celebration is the inspiration for this year's theme 'Kendal Calling Goes Through The Decades'. This will influence the décor plus the performance art  with the whole site in-keeping with the theme.

Festival goers are asked to dress up as a character from their favourite decade. As the festival suggests Kendal Callers to have a blast from the past as a 1920's flapper, 60s hippy, 70s dancing queen, 80s metal-head, or a 90's popster?

Lost Eden

Lost Eden will be home to new performance spaces with packed programs of audio-visual content, as well as a host of other artworks and leftfield experiences throughout the weekend. A fully immersive experience, Lost Eden will present 10 new art commissions, with works in a range of media, including projection-based and sculptural work. From intricately carved automobiles to  video art, unique installations 'Nature Delivers' Dan Rawlings, 'Treeple' Paul Calsey, 'Liminal' Christopher Helson, 'Eden Avenue' Sound Intervention, 'Wild Life Strip' Simon Williams, Spoken Word with Bad Language, Aziz Ibrahim Q&A, Lifestyle Talks with Betternotstop, Festival Culture Panel with Professor George McKay, Swing dance classes, live art with John Pearson, and 'Paradise Found' Mick Stephenson, plus live acs and DJs.
