The Isle of Wight Festival mainly takes place around the main stage, big top and a dance stage. Around this is a secondary festival made up of smaller venues and tents which largely host local acts, plus a sprinkling of DJ venues. It's worth keeping an eye out on these stages as they do host the occasional surprise act of big name 'slumming it' through the weekend.

Musically the main stage and big top tend to lean towards pop and rock. Headliners tend to mix legendary acts with some of the biggest current names. The Dance tent usually plays host to DJs and rappers.
