This year it's the 21st Anniversary of the Great British R& B Festival which takes place from Friday 27th to Monday 30th August in Colne, Lancashire.

The Great British R & B Festival has a reputation for showcasing R & B talents in a family friendly atmosphere. This year the festival will have some of the blues artists who performed at the very first festival in 1990. The festival has three main stages, The International, British, and Acoustic, as well as various events happening in 'Roadhouse Venues'.

Line-up

The International Stage features:
Friday 27 August: The Hamsters, Dr Feelgood, Nine Below Zero, and Eddie & The Hot Rods.
Saturday 28 August: Ben Waters Band, Chicago Acoustic Blues Session feat. Nalle (DK), Magic & Omar (USA), Sandi Thom, Magic Slim and The Teardrops (USA), and Omar & The Howlers (USA).
Sunday 29 August: Sisters in Grease, Jay Tamkin Band, Popa Chubby Band (USA), King King featuring Alan Nimmo, Hans Theessink (NL), Peter Green, and The Pretty Things.
Monday 30 August: Oli Brown, Larry Garner Band (USA) with Norman Beaker & Friends, Trevor Burton Band from The Move, Georgie Fame, and Flamingo Blues all Stars with special guests Herbie Goins & Chris Farlowe.

The other stages have not yet been announced.

Tickets

When booked before Saturday 26th June full festival tickets that give unlimited access to all the venues for the whole weekend are on sale for £95 for adults and half price for children (up to 16 years of age). International Stage Day tickets are also available and range from £25 to £35 for adults. Camping for a full weekend is priced at £34 or £12 per day. To buy tickets online, click here.
